Biography

Sarah Zachariah is a third-year medical student at the University of Toronto at the time of this presentation. Prior to medical school, Sarah obtained Master’s in Biochemistry with a Specialization in Human & Molecular Genetics from the University of Ottawa and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry at Queen’s University. Her Master’s project focused on protein biochemistry and genetics- specifically, she studied USP4 and USP15, two proteins involved in the development of lung adenocarcinoma. Her research can be found in conference proceedings and peer-reviewed journals. Now, she has an interest in the field of obstetrics and gynecology and is looking forward to furthering her clinical research interests in the area.  Sarah currently lives in Toronto, Canada and outside of her academic interests, she enjoys playing squash and baking.
